About Us

Save Us Now, Inc. was founded in 2010 by Gwendolyn and Kelvin Lassiter and a group of professionals with backgrounds in mental health and community services.

​

The organization was established after the founders recognized a significant gap in access to free personal hygiene products, clothing, household goods, furniture, and other necessities for underserved communities. After researching existing government and community resources, the founders created Save Us Now, Inc. to provide these resources more consistently to people in need.

​

Over the years, Save Us Now, Inc. has developed relationships with community organizations and social service agencies and built a network of volunteers, donors, businesses, and community partners. These relationships allow the organization to collect, coordinate, and distribute resources efficiently while helping address gaps in existing services.

​

Today, Save Us Now, Inc. continues that work by responding to immediate needs while creating opportunities for stronger community connections.
