Mission Statement

Save Us Now Inc. is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit community service organization whose mission is to encourage, inspire, motivate, and empower people. We strive to improve the quality of life of the unhoused, indigent, under-served, disenfranchised, and marginalized people in the Washington, DC metropolitan area by providing them with human services, resources, and opportunities that restore their hope and dignity.

Mentoring Program

The UnFinished Business Program: is designed to help people understand how their behaviors, individually and collectively, have had an impact on their lives and today’s society, and how those behaviors have staunched their ability to reach their goals and dreams.

Wrapped in Dignity

March 15, 2019

We distributes free basic feminine care products to un-sheltered women in Washington, DC. Each month, we pass out kits (filled with feminine hygiene care products) at shelters in the area or where un-sheltered women are usually located.

"Girl...We Need to Talk!"

This is a support group for women designed to help them find a comfort level in reaching out to others and expressing themselves without judgment; to share daily challenges, such as grief, depression, anxiety, parenting, being single, relationships, or divorce just to name a few topics.

A Feast for My People Project

We help un-sheltered individuals and families on the streets and in the shelters of Washington, D.C. especially during the holiday season. Every December 24th since 2012, Save Us Now Inc. has been at D.C. General Family Shelter, and the shelters on the New York Avenue Corridor passing out Christmas Toys, to the families residing in these shelters. Proudly serving them a holiday meal, and giving out toiletry items, socks and winter coats to those in need. 

The Comforts of Home Free Market

This program helps the un-sheltered and displaced families who are moving from a shelter or transitional housing into permanent housing. We assist them by helping them to get basic household items and supplies for their new home.

Essentials for My People Program

This program is critical in helping the most vulnerable without shelter population especially during this COVID-19 pandemic because they are ones who aren't getting access to PPE and cleaning supplies regularly.
